Sources & citation policy
Provenance comes before a polished narrative.
Identify the original document
Citations identify the document title, issuing source, date when known, and a usable link. A preserved copy should retain the context needed to understand the original. A later summary does not silently replace a primary record.
Keep source types visible
Company announcements, subject statements, public records, and independent reporting are labeled distinctly. A source’s relationship to Daniel matters when interpreting its claims. Approval by the subject and independent corroboration are separate things.
Chronology and gaps
An event date is not interchangeable with an article’s publication date. The desk checks both where relevant. Missing, changed, or contradictory evidence prompts review, and visible numbered notes connect the historical account to its sources.
